my psyche, my eros
Let's not get it twisted—you're only alive at the behest of a mysterious husband you've never seen, whom the Oracle of Delphi has decreed a terrible and cruel winged serpent.
And let's not forget—the only way this tale will go is through the countless trials Aphrodite will put you through, just to prove yourself worthy of her son. Oh, am I spoiling the story? That's a shame. You'll just have to get used to it.
After all, you never had a choice in the matter, Psyche.
Content warnings:

This was an assignment for ENG 20W: Creative Writing, Winter 2025.
- To be honest, this took a lot of energy out of me since it was due in a week ... so sorry when it falls off at the end >_<
- I'm also not promo-ing this game since I'm not a fan of it but LemonInk insisted I post and who am I to say no?
This game features:
- Over 6k words in semi-poetical format from the perspective of the one and only Psyche, of Greek myth fame
- A mostly linear storyline with branching routes and variations depending on your choices
- (Seriously, I recommend picking the "bad" options!)
- Mostly stretching the limitations of the prompt as much as I can :P
- Katherine Song: Writing, programming, poetry and failure to poeticize thereof

Katherine, you've done it again. I had a lot of fun with that!! The way you play with words and the space they take up is extremely fun and effective. I loved Eros as a mysterious glowing voice trying to help you when it's like thank you but also do I even want your help sir :/ fucking mama's boy ://// I also like that his text has this ethereal quality to it like yeah I am a mortal and he's in a whole other world and even the idea that he tries to talk as little as possible so that gap won't be in our faces because he does care for Psyche in some way. Great poem, your teacher better give you a good grade <3
pam pam pam…. i’m surprised and yet unsurprised you found this little project of mine. we’re drawn to greek myths like moths to a flame… but thank you so so much!!! i honestly still think this is kinda bad so your comment makes me feel a lot better <3 i love the original myth, don’t get me wrong, but i always felt like i wouldn’t be going through all this for eros unless he were part of the sassy man apocalypse hence his arrival as a disembodied glowing voice. i did not get a grade on this project but i did get an A overall in the class, so i’m happy to say your well-wishes worked!!!
also off topic but we need to talk abt otome games some day i got the impression from your bluesky you play ? right ? let’s chat.
